Singapore Trip 2014 - 3D2N
Sorry for late post, we were too excited about the outing back then and forgot to share our story.
Last month we went to Singapore for 3 days and 2 night. The purpose was to celebrate the efforts of our dedicated team this year and of course, to tighten the bond between us.
From airport we went right away to V Hotel Lavender. Since we brought along our little princess (and our heavy luggage), we decided to avoid the crowdedness of MRT by rented a car. After checked in, MRT all the way folks! It’s the art of visiting Singapore.
Our schedule for the first day was to visit Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, and Garden by the Bay, but since it was so hot and tiring to walk around for hours, we decided to cancel the Merlion (too bad, some of us never visit Merlion before) and resting at MBS (our boss went back to hotel since the princess need a good place to rest).
Couple of the day, eh?
Do you like flowers...? Garden by the Bay is a good place for you to visit!
Dinner time! To refill our empty stomach and our drained energy after walked a whole day, an all you can eat offer was too good to be rejected. We chose Buffet Town at Raffles City. It was delicious!!
Back to hotel, clean our body, and a quick visit to Mustafa, a place where you can buy things at cheaper price. A good place to buy a souvenir.
Day 2 - Sentosa All the Way
Sentosa, here we come! The first stop was at Universal Studio Singapore! Surprisingly, it was crowded. We thought the place won’t be this crowded since it was not a peak season.
Next, we were visiting Trick Eye Museum. A good place to take photos, but it was small and cramped with many people.
And finally, the one that we were waiting for, Sentosa Luge! Just like the tag line, once is never enough! Actually there was a giggling moment where our programmer’s sandal fell off while riding a Sky Ride. Good thing that we were able to retrieve that fallen sandal back, otherwise he had to buy a new pair of sandal.
After dine in at Vivocity, we went back to hotel and resting for a moment before we visit Bugis Street to buy snacks (and it was another good place to buy souvenirs).
Day 3 - Visiting Google Asia Pacific & Back to Indonesia
The main event of this trip: visiting Google Asia Pacific office! Whoever have watched The Internship movie back in 2013 probably have at least 1 idea in mind: Google office is fun! A tech-savvy guy will love the place, and so do we.
While it’s not the same Google office that we saw in the movie (that was in California), it’s still fun and awesome! Unfortunately we can’t take a picture inside the office (it was not permitted) except at food court and front office / lobby. Free lunch at Google office, all you can eat!
Sorry for the blur photo, we also regret it, A LOT. (why blur, whyyyyy!!!)
A big thanks to Kris & Winston from Google as our guide. Really appreciate the experience!
…and that was also the last event for this Singapore trip.
From Google office we make a quick visit to Orchard then went back to hotel and rent a car again to take us to the airport.
That’s all folks. See you later!
